What is the real difference between cheeky and Brazilian?

Cheeky leaves the lower half of the seat uncovered. Brazilian cuts higher at the leg and narrower at the back, so it covers less again. A thong covers least of all. All three are named on the piece rather than left to the photograph.

Does a high waisted bottom actually hold anything in?

Are board shorts worn over a bottom?
